Raivon Historia

Raivon Historia [A HISTORY OF RAGE] draws from Oulu-born writers Sara Wacklin (1790 -1846), Kaarlo Kramsu (1855-1895), V.A. Koskenniemi (1885-1962), Juhani Siljo (1888-1918), Aaro Hellaakoski (1893-1952) and Miki Liukkonen (1989- ) in an audiovisual performance that presents fresh, unstifled interpretations of their texts and personas.

Raivon Historia is a place to become acquainted with rage, a womb-like venue pulsating in power to bewitch with poetry that floods through the epochs.

Raivon historia is an event that takes the experience of literature and history to a level that is cleansingly paradoxical.

Raivon historia is desperation in beauty.

Besides designing the lighting and creating the space in collaboration with Konsta Koivisto, I was performing the role of poet Aaro Hellaakoski in a blue skin suit.
